All the affiliate marketing journey starts in one single point… Choosing a product to promote and find high converting offers that pay massive commissions.
This can totally be the key to your failure or your massive success, so you need to be very careful.
Today I’m going to show you how to find extremely profitable products that people in your market will love and buy without hesitation…
Leaving you a big bunch of commissions 😉
It is a pretty simple 3-step process that will take you less than an hour, really.
1. Finding The Profitable Segment Of Your Market
Whenever looking for a product to promote, you need to find a product that applies to the MOST profitable segment of your market.
If we go to target the wrong portion of your market… Then it’s going to REALLY diminish the money you can make.
Here are 3 factors to find the largest segment of your market.
The Beginner Crowd
The LARGEST and most active segment of a market is the “beginners”.
This is because they go on a buying frenzy as they are new to the market and need to buy all the tools to succeed in the chosen subject.
Take Golf for example – people who take up Golf have to buy golf clubs, gloves, golf bags, golf courses, golf balls, and so on.
Believe it or not… this adds up to thousands. That’s why the beginner segment is really profitable.
However, experienced golfers on the other hand, already have their own golf clubs, club memberships, etc… So we could miss out on A LOT of potential sales if we focused on them.
TOP SECRET: Beginners are also EASIER to sell to because they’re less knowledgeable on the subject, so they are easier to impress.
Now, this isn’t going to apply to every market, but if it applies to yours… Then you need to find products that target desperate people.
Once again, let’s take Golf as an example – nobody needs desperately to get golf clubs right now, are they?
But if you’ve chosen a market with lots of desperate people, like the “weight loss” or the “get your ex back” market, then you’ll find this kind of people who are EXTREMELY motivated to get a solution to their problems as soon as possible.
So what you need to do here is to find products with sales pages that target desperate people.
So when someone in a desperate situation reads the sales page, it resonates with them on a deep level.
It’s almost like the product vendor totally gets their situation and can relate to what they’re going through right now.
And the end result… They’re much more likely to take action and snap up what you’re promoting.
So yeah, look for products that cater to desperate people in your market and you’ll notice your conversions are considerably higher.
When looking for products to promote, you want to look for complete “A to Z” systems.
As in, a course that will take you from the beginner stages, right up to the advanced levels of whatever they’re trying to achieve.
So, let me give you an example… Say your market is the bodybuilding – you don’t want to promote anything that shows you how to get a six-pack or how to get bulging biceps…
What you want to do is to promote a bodybuilding course that takes them from start to finish on how to build their ENTIRE body, instead.
There’s a couple of reasons why you want to opt for these kinds of products…
First up, they apply to a much larger segment of your market. So not only do they apply to the beginners, but to the intermediates and advanced users because it covers every single aspect of whatever they’re trying to achieve.
Plus – and this is the best part – they pay bigger commissions because generally, they’re much bigger courses that cover a lot more information… Hence the higher price tag.
2. Using The Correct Affiliate Network
Okay, so you found the profitable segment of your list… Awesome.
What we need to do now is to head over to the affiliate network that hosts products on your market.
Regardless of the market, you’ve chosen, I recommend going with ClickBank. This is a digital market place with lots of offers from any kind of niche.
3. Choosing The Best Affiliate Offer
Now that you have your market, your segment, and your affiliate network, we got to find you a product to promote.
To be honest, this is the part where it gets ugly… This is easier said than done.
Why? Because there are loads of factors to consider and not all the products are equal, of course.
We need to focus on how well the product converts. The higher the product converts, the more money you make.
This is what you need to be looking for:
A Product That Costs No More Than $100
I would recommend to find a product that sells for around $50 – $100.
Any higher than that is going to involve more selling with tougher marketing.
So no higher than $100 – especially if you are new to internet marketing.
Now, you can promote a product that’s less than $50, but the commissions will be smaller when you go below that.
But hey, if you’re cool with that, be my guest and go for it.
Is The Sale Copy Good?
One of the first things you need to do is to check out the sales copy on the sales page.
When you read the sales page or watch the sales video, does it convince you?
If so, that’s a strong indicator the sales page will convert.
Like I said before, if you’re in a market full of desperate people, then you want to look out for sales pages catering towards these kind of people as it’ll help with conversions.
Does It Have Proof Elements?
You want a sales page with LOTS of proof elements on it.
So look for stuff like:
- Testimonials – the more the better (video testimonials have more creditability)
- Screenshots of Facebook comments from happy customers
- Images of customers getting the desired outcome promised in the product
Look For Recurrent Commissions
Another way to get more bang for your buck per customer is to promote products that pay recurring commissions.
Here’s how it works…
So instead of paying once for a product, they have to pay a monthly fee to stay a member.
This works really well when you’re promoting software or a service, as they can potentially stay a member for years.
And what started as a $10 commission, can literally turn into hundreds of dollars of commissions over a lifetime of the customer staying a member.
It can be a great way of scaling your income up when promoting recurring paying products.
So they are definitely worth promoting if you think they’ll convert well.
WHAT TO DO NEXT…
So you’re filled with knowledge on how to find profitable products to promote.
What I want you to do now is to spend some time finding a good product you’d like to promote.
Start diggin’ around and I’m pretty sure you’ll find something fairly quickly – there’s definitely plenty to choose from, anyway.
