09. Avoid Cliches: 

What are cliches? How can you identify them? You avoid them thoroughly is tough.

A cliche is a word, phrase, or an opinion that overuses in a sentence to misguide the original thought.

10. Avoid Vagueness: 

Vagueness is a word or phrase that has no clear meaning. You avoid that in writing by explaining details that make clear to your reader.

The vagueness does not give any precise ideas on the meaning of a sentence.

11. Do not start with, “There are.”: 

Never start a sentence with

  • There are
  • There is
  • And there was
  • There were 

Create sentences with the form of Subject + Verb + Object. The sentence must be sharper. Make sure the idea you convey is clearer.  

Since they have no meaning. So you avoid the subject delayer.

12. Avoid fluff: 

When a writer has no ideas on the topic, the one writes to extend with more sentences that make fluff content.

Words or sentences create fluff that doesn’t add any meaning to the main content.

When you write, organize and plan, that helps you stay focused and avoid fluff even before it happens.

13. Avoid tautology: 

What is Tautology? Tautology is the saying of the same thing twice in different words, generally considered being a fault of style.

How to avoid Tautology? Avoid tautology, which is the needless repetition of the same idea. To avoid tautologies, you should pay focus on the thought you are writing. “Speedy running” is a tautology example.

14. Look for unnecessary words:

Look for useless words, as people want clarity, concise, and clear message. 

And that means delivering the message as trimmed words as possible. 

Well. Don’t edit when you write. When you finish your first draft and then start editing, look for useless words, sentences you can cut.

15. Avoid empty words: 

Use actual nouns and active verbs. Avoid blank words, such as “field,” “kind,” “aspect,” “case,” “factor,” “situation,” “thing,” “type.” 

Replace single words, for word phrases, use “because,” not “because.” 

Cut out useless repetition “return again,” “cooperate.” 

Never start sentences with “there is” or “it is” or “there are,” “there were.”

Join sentences to avoid repeating words.


Tips-04: To whom are you writing? Don’t write fat.

Reader focused writing, when you write, make sure to whom you are writing, whether it be a friend, family, or others. 

Write carefully with a precise and concise form with a clear message. Participants may be an authority figure. So it should be a clear message.

17. Prepositional phrase pileups:

The sentence’s main clause is well-formed, with a clear subject and an active main verb. It’s properly punctuated. Then why is it so hard to digest? Avoid. Pileups. Prepositional phrases sometimes pile up and create a dense wall of unreadable words. Make your writing fat less.

18. Stating the obvious:  

Write to notify people what they knew before you inform them. So don’t waste precious time to write this information on stating the obvious. 

The effect is another thing, such as stating the obvious, they think they’re saying something other people don’t know. For example, the irony is delicious.

19. Mind your verbs: 

Do you know, you live in a world of nouns and adjectives? Your niche, niche product, and niche audience, everything is clear.

When you write, you write to follow the rule subject+verb+ object, and then write a powerful sentence with active verbs. So keep your mind with verbs. We aren’t a noun, but we are like a verb.

In general, people like something simple and clear words with a clear understanding of sentences. 

When you write, use familiar and simple one avoiding fancy words such as Believe, Think, A lot, Always and never, Stuff, Just, That, Then.

24. Busy readers: 

Nowadays, people become almost scanners. So they like to scan besides reading. Every word should have a purpose, meaning, and simple rather than just taking up space.

Write short, precise, and concise for concrete sentences as if they can faster. So use scannable elements like H tag, bullets, and font decoration.

25. Relevancy: 

Write a sentence using fewer words. And keep the relation to the next sentence. One idea in a sentence and one thought a paragraph. 

Relevance is the idea of one topic that gets related to the next one. That makes it useful to consider the second topic when considering the first.

In general, people don’t like adverbs. An adverb is a modifier you need when you choose a weak verb. 

But in truth, avoiding adverbs is a tough job. Be careful to pick a verb. Choosing the right verb is another skill.  

27. Eliminate meaningless modifiers: 

In the speech, we often use meaningless modifiers. But you avoid those words using in writing.

These include a kind of, really, basically, definitely, practically, actually, virtually, generally, certain particular, individual, given, various, different, specific.
